Featured Cinemas

  • We currently scour 100+ cinemas and screening venues across Greater London for their screenings + Curzon's and PictureHouse's London cinemas. If we've missed a screening venue, please do let us know.

  • My local cinema - to find your local rep screening cinema, see our map

  • Everyman and Odeon cinemas have not been included - we have asked for their programmes, but haven't had a response.

Featured Films

  • Screening Dates - we include the full calendar month plus the first 5-7 days of the following month e.g. all October screenings + 1-7 November

  • We rely on each cinema's own data, so if a screening is not listed at the beginning of the month, it may be added later

  • Release Years - we include any film that had a wide release prior to 2023

  • Submissions - If you would like to submit a screening or programme, please use our submissions form

Accessibility

  • Wherever possible we include the original title for non-English language films (indicating subtitles) as well as notes on accessible screenings e.g. Dementia Friendly, Relaxed Screening etc. Also see concessions

  • Why spreadsheets when there are cinema websites? For those that use screen readers, have visual processing disorders or ADHD; cluttered, image-heavy websites can be difficult to navigate. Spreadsheets allow for visually clear data and in the case of festival schedulers, can be duplicated easily so the user can keep or edit their own version. We use Google Sheets for those that don't have Excel software and publish a free sheet every December.

  • Open-access December - In the spirit of the season, we make each December's spreadsheet totally free and open-access. If existing members would like a refund of Dec's subs, just write to us and we will process a Patreon refund which takes 5-7 working days.

Film Festivals:

Who we are - The project is the creation of Archivist Jasmine Soliman and Software Engineer Alexander Ross - for whom shining a spotlight on London's repertory film screening cinemas and enhancing access to screenings is a way of giving back to rep film fans who live in or visit the city.

Featured images - the archival images we sometimes feature are from the Akkasah: Photography Archive (which Jasmine previously managed), and in particular, the Samir Farid Collection of set photos from Egyptian films of the 1930s-1960s.
